Resep pepes ikan mas adalah lauk tanpa digoreng yang rasanya enak dan bikin ingin tambah terus. Sebagai lauk utama, hidangan populer asal Jawa Barat ini juga sangat sederhana dalam proses pembuatannya. Hanya perlu melumuri ikan mas dengan bumbu halus, lalu membungkusnya dengan daun pisang dan kukus hingga matang. Cocok pisan untuk menu makan siang!

Untuk cara masak pepes ikan mas, gunakan 1 ekor ikan mas ukuran kecil hingga maksimal 500 gram. Ikan mas yang terlalu besar akan membutuhkan proses memasak yang lebih lama dan bumbu pepes ikan mas akan kurang meresap dengan baik karena dagingnya yang tebal. Kecuali jika kamu akan memasaknya di atas api kecil selama berjam-jam.

Jika kamu memasaknya secara mendadak dan tak punya waktu untuk membeli daun pisang, gunakan alumunium foil, meski tentunya aromanya takkan seharum jika menggunakan daun pisang. Bumbu pepes ini juga sedap digunakan untuk ikan air tawar atau ikan laut favoritmu. Misalnya nila, patin, mujair, gurami, kembung, atau kakap. Lebis sedap jika kamu membiarkan bumbu meresap sesudah dikukus, kemudian panaskan pepes ikan mas di atas grill pan sesaat akan disajikan. Yuk, saatnya belajar olah resep pepes ikan mas enak ini!

Cara membuat

Memarinasi pepes ikan mas dengan air jeruk nipis dan garam.

Lumuri ikan secara merata dengan air jeruk nipis. Sisihkan.
Meracik bumbu halus dan kecap untuk pepes ikan mas.

Campur rata bumbu halus dengan Bango Kecap Manis Pedas. Sisihkan.

Membumbui pepes ikan mas di atas daun pisang.

Ambi daun pisang, letakkan ikan ke atasnya. Tutup ikan dengan bumbu pepes secara merata. Letakkan daun salam, serai, tomat, dan daun kemangi ke atasnya. Tutup dan bungkus dengan daun pisang. Sematkan kedua ujungnya dengan tusuk gigi.
